Sun

This reminds me of the piece Blocking Out the Sun upstairs in the Memory show.

Russian Doll

I was working on the paper for Goldstein's class and trying to think of what I was going to type next. I looked over at my bookshelf and saw this Russian doll staring down at me. My mother-in-law got this for my husband on her trip to Russia about 10 years ago. It looks like each leader gobbled up the one who came before.

*kinda homesick.

semi-warm days like yesterday, kinda makes me a little homesick. Just got an e-mail from a paper I used to draw cartoons for, 'n prompted me to look through some of their older issues/pictures.

Pensacola's a strange place--lotta beaches, UFOs, and megaChurches, but has a really interesting underbelly. Politically, its a really odd place because of the navy base and unaccredited christian 'colleges,' but somewhat balanced with a wonderfully active anarchist collective downtown.

here's a couple of the things I miss seeing (parents/grandparents and my recently deceased poodle would definitely be included, but pictures not shown)

older photo, but dome still looks the same...

jail turned art museum, old bars and jail doors inside...

sea oats holding down the dunes...

punkish music venue 'n place to get vegan food:

crazy place, always in a state of flux-- lotta things destroyed and rebuilt with the cycles of storms:
